The Account Executive plays an essential role at Cartelligent and provides a high-touch, concierge car-buying service to a diverse clientele. The Account Executive serves each client by being their advocate and resource of information, shepherding them through a seamless car buying/leasing/trade-in experience, and owns the process from start to finish, all in an effort to build our business, drive referrals and increase client retention. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify, qualify and develop warm leads, as well as find opportunities to self-generate leads
  • Sell the Cartelligent service and seek out input and guidance to update and strengthen your skills, all in an effort to successfully close clients and ensure they have an enjoyable experience at every step
  • Strategically manage each opportunity, being mindful of every Cartelligent service that we can provide, all while achieving high client satisfaction ratings and making a fair profit
  • Maintain and manage your progress with each lead and client, using the CRM database, SalesForce with clear, detailed, timely and accurate data entry of all interactions
  • Work collaboratively with Purchasing, Trades and Delivery teams and provide them with accurate, clear and concise information
  • Partner with your team to strategically nourish our relationships with new car dealers, trade-in dealers and vendors
  • Build, develop and continually enhance product knowledge and financing/leasing options for all manufacturers


  • At least 2 years of sales and service experience of any type required
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google suite, MS Office and the internet required; CRM experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to work independently and strategically
  • Able to interpret complex information; astute, highly organized multitasker, detail-oriented and highly diligent
  • Building rapport when speaking with clients and vendors; developing trust, impeccable listening skills
  • Exceptional communication skills including the ability to speak articulately and credibly
  • Skilled at qualifying leads, converting leads into opportunities and closing the deal from a relational sales approach, not transactional
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Excellent teamwork with all colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and engaged culture
  • Excellent external customer service skills
  • Able to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation by fully using the tools at your disposal
  • Able to use a win-win-win approach to balance the needs of the client, dealership/wholesaler and Cartelligent
  • Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting excellent judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, review facts and weigh options
  • Able to prepare for emerging client needs, manage multiple projects and prioritize to ensure every client has an excellent experience
  • Able to use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans; organize and schedule people and tasks
