Opportunity Overview
As Director of Marketing and Growth, you’ll be the driving force behind Cartelligent’s expansion, championing our message of Car Buying, Solved. You’ll develop and execute a dynamic customer acquisition and retention strategy, leveraging digital channels, compelling brand storytelling, and strategic partnerships to significantly expand our reach.
This role is a mix of strategy and execution—you will be expected to roll up your sleeves to optimize paid campaigns, refine brand messaging, and enhance conversion rates while also leading and growing the marketing team. What You Will Do
Architect and Execute Growth Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive, data-driven marketing plan to accelerate customer acquisition, improve conversion rates, and amplify brand presence, all while reinforcing our core promise of Car Buying, Solved.
Optimize Digital Marketing & Paid Media: Scale and manage high-performing campaigns across Google Ads, paid social, SEO, and email marketing to drive qualified leads.
Lead Content & SEO Strategy: Drive programmatic SEO initiatives and enhance content marketing to generate qualified traffic and maximize conversions
Drive Website & Conversion Optimization: Implement website performance improvements, optimize form fill conversion rates, and track lead quality through rigorous A/B testing and analytics.
Execute Brand Positioning & Messaging: Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all marketing materials and campaigns, reinforcing our core value proposition: Car Buying, Solved.
Cultivate Strategic Partnerships & Referral Programs: Develop and formalize a corporate partnerships strategy and optimize referral programs to drive high-quality leads.
Maximize Performance Across All Marketing Channels: Own and optimize Cartelligent’s marketing ecosystem, including:
Paid Digital (Google Ads, paid social, display ads, search ads)
Affiliate & Corporate Partnerships
Content & SEO (blog, programmatic SEO, organic search)
Social Media & Brand Awareness (organic social, reputation management)
Email & CRM Marketing (automation, nurture campaigns)
Events & Experiments (lead generation assessment)
Establish Key Metrics & Reporting: Implement robust attribution tracking and analytics to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness.
Manage Marketing Budget & ROI: Oversee a $500K+ annual marketing budget, ensuring maximum revenue impact.
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of exceptional marketers, including a junior marketer and partnerships manager, who are passionate about marketing.
Job requirements
Who You Are
Must-Have Qualifications:
7+ years in marketing leadership roles (Director-level or above) at consumer-focused companies.
Proven track record in scaling digital marketing and customer acquisition through Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, and SEO.
Strong experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing.
Deep expertise in marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and performance tracking.
Demonstrated ability to hire, manage, and mentor marketing teams.
Experience developing and executing corporate partnerships and referral programs.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights to executives and cross-functional teams.
Embody the characteristics of a “Senior Doer”.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Automotive, fintech, or high-consideration consumer services background.
Hands-on experience with marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) and CRM systems (Salesforce, Pipedrive, etc.).
Experience structuring and executing growth experiments to identify scalable marketing strategies.
Startup or fast-growth experience where agility and execution matter.
